Funny Things That Only Happen to Short Guys (And Yes, I Get All of Them) 😂

Look… being 5'2" comes with perks, challenges, and some moments that are just straight-up comedy. I’ve learned to laugh at it, own it, and honestly?
I wouldn’t trade it for anything.

Here are the funniest things that only short guys truly understand — and yes, these are all real-life Fun Size experiences.

1. Climbing Into High Vehicles Should Count as Cardio

You ever hop into a lifted truck and immediately feel like you’re scaling a mountain?
Same.

People think I’m checking out the interior, but really I’m calculating my angle like a rock climber prepping for a route.

2. Every Hoodie Instantly Becomes an XXL Blanket

When someone hands you a hoodie “your size” and it fits like you’re cosplaying as a Jawa from Star Wars…
Yep.
Been there.

It’s cozy though — I’ll take it.

3. Group Photos = Automatic Front Row Placement

Doesn’t matter where I stand…
I always get pulled to the front.
Every. Single. Time.

If there’s a kid in the group, they’ll put me right next to him like we’re the same height.
Appreciate the thought, but come on 😂

4. Random People Think They Can Pick You Up

I don’t know what it is about short kings, but people get this sudden urge like:
“Oh! I bet I can lift him!”

No warning.
No permission.
Just full WWE scoop slam energy.

For the record: don’t.

5. High Shelves Are My Mortal Enemy

Anything above chest height becomes a life challenge.
I’ll be in the kitchen staring at the top cabinet like it personally offended me.

And don’t get me started on the grocery store.
One aisle trip and suddenly I’m performing stunts that should be televised.

6. People Always Assume I’m Younger Than I Am

You’d think being married, having a mortgage, and life experience would give me “adult” energy.
Nope.
The height wipes that out instantly.

“Aw, how old are you?”
Old enough to pay taxes, Brenda.

7. But Here’s the Best Part… Confidence Isn’t in Your Height

For real though — being short is actually one of my superpowers.

I learned:

  • How to carry myself

  • How to walk into a room with presence

  • How to win people over with personality

  • And how to not take life too seriously

Height never stopped me from wrestling on TV…
and it’s definitely not stopping me from building the life I want now.

Being “Fun Size” isn’t a disadvantage — it’s a brand, a mindset, and honestly… a whole lifestyle.

Final Thoughts

Life’s too short (pun intended) to take yourself seriously.
Laugh at the moments, own who you are, and embrace the quirks that make you YOU.

Besides… fun things come in small packages.
Everybody knows that.
